ATI testing prediction

I just took the ATI test today for school and didn't score so well overall. My chances of passing the NCLEX was 91%. So after seeing my scores, my teacher was putting a lot of emphasis for me to take a NCLEX prep. course like Kaplan or Drexel. She didn't seem too interested in me studying from the Saunders book. I'm just wondering if I follow Suzanne's study plan and perhaps do an additional online review from NCSBN if this will suffice for passing the NCLEX the first time?

Re: ATI testing prediction

Hey there. I just got back my ATI results. Where on it does it indicate your chances of passing? I was told if you did better than 60ish on a particular catagory that was a good indicator of your grasp on the material....

Also....if anyone can tell me how accurate is this test on predicting NCLEX passing?

Re: ATI testing prediction

There should be a last page on the ATI results that indicate what percentage chance you have in passing NCLEX based on your score. It's a box that shows it.

Re: ATI testing prediction

When I graduated from the LPN program, we took the PN comprehensive exam and my % for passing boards were in the high 90's. I did passed the NCLEX on the first try. I did practice exams with ATI, mainly the comprehensive, med-surg, and fudamentals. When I went to take my boards I was so shocked. ATI has the NCLEX down packed. I would suggest that to anyone. If you are given the ATI exams through your school, ask your instructor for the nonproctored numbers so you can practice the questions. I justed graduated from the ADN program and I am using the same study technique for the NCLEX-RN.

Re: ATI testing prediction

i think saunders is wonderful prep for nclex. if you're at 91% now, and you hammer through the saunders disk, you're going to be in the high 90's.

i spent around a hundred dollars on nclex prep materials, including the online cat that mosby has.

you're in good shape to pass.
