Any 5th or 6th time test takers out there

I said I wouldn't start a thread, but after reading everyone elses stories. I know I am not in this alone.

I am so down and out thinking that I have failed Nclex-Rn 5 times. My self-esteem level is -0. I am so so HAPPY for everyone that has passed, but I keep saying WHY CAN'T THAT BE ME!!!! I have tried everything from A-Z and nothing seems to help!!! What am I doing wrong??? Other than my anxiety level is 1000% when I set down to take the test.

I will be taking the test again in March. Please pray for me that the Lord will give me the strength to pass this test the sixth and final time!!

Hey is there anyone else out there that has failed the test five or more times!!!!

Re: Any 5th or 6th time test takers out there

hi there,

you are not the only one that have taken more than 5 times. this will be mine 6th in March. i too have tried everything. i am currently doing suzanne' s plan. I had no confidence, sad and emotional upset. each time i got the failing result, I cried and went into depression for a while. I know that I can not let this exam defeat me or you. you and I went to nursing school and pay all that tuition. Please dont give up because I am sure not going. I will keep taking that exam until the day i passed. I know sooner or later, I will crack the nclex. good luck on your next testing date.

PM me--maybe we can help each other

Sorry to hear about your situations. Keep on fighting through though. Do you think you need content review or more practice questions? Have you tried going to a different facility? I know they are all the same but maybe you'd be less anxious if you were in a new setting.

Re: Any 5th or 6th time test takers out there

Well I have failed the nclex rn 5 times and am currently preparing to take it for the 6th time. I am horrified. I have done everything. I have so many review books I could open a library. I have spent thousands of dollars on review courses and books and am at a dead end. I don't even know where to begin to study for my 6th time. My job is now currently on the line as they want me to pass within 2 months or I could lose my job.
I have been reading on here about hints to help pass with the nclex but I feel as though I have done all those.
I feel the same way you do and I wish you luck on your test. I just keep telling myself I can do it and I keep praying.

Re: Any 5th or 6th time test takers out there

hello i took kaplan before, private review that was a waste of money and time and self study, for my last time i review content rather then doing questions, studied like crazy
maybe i should have concentrated on doing more ? i am so emotionaly tired and frustrated, and angry and feel like ....

I'd say studying content alone would not be enough. Doing practice questions is really the only way, you have to know what the NCLEX is looking for.
