Unhappy Re: 8/1 Nclex

i took my test yesterday, 8/1, and got 265 questions. we're both in the same boat 'cause I honestly don't know how I did either - let's just say the feelings right now aren't too good.

i got a LOT of teaching/effective questions, lots of delegation and priority, when would the nurse intervene, 4 or 5 select all that apply, 2 calculations... and after that my mind goes blank. i suppose with 265 questions you get a variety of everything.

best wishes to you!

At my job, there are lots of very experienced nurses who always tell us newbies about waiting weeks or months to get their results. The test itself was also spread out over a weekend instead of the 75 question/one hour event that many of us go through now. We're pretty lucky these days. Best of luck on your wait.

What state did you tak NCLEX for? Did you find out that you passed? Did you check Pearson account?

Re: 8/1 Nclex

active does not mean passing, but having an actual license number means passing.

Re: 8/1 Nclex

I took my test 8/1 at 9 am. Just got my results....I PASSED! I still can't believe it, it seem surreal. I have been looking at the screen for about 15 minutes now. I had 75 questions and it only took me about 40 minutes to take the test, so I was a little worried about passing. I had a lot of who would you see first or d/c first. I can't believe I'm finally a real nurse!

Good Luck to everyone else that took their test on Tuesday and all of those waiting on results.

40 minutes?? What did you study? That is a incredible to get 75 questions for 40 minutes. If you can share the books you used to study. I would appreciate it. I take my exam next week. :-)

Re: 8/1 Nclex

Pearsons finally posted the result and I passed. I am a RN!!!!!! :hatparty: Orientation starts on Monday so I am preparing for the math test at my hospital, which I know is the first of many tests to come, but nothing I am sure is worse then the NCLEX. I had 84 to 86 questions. After I left I thought wow- I don't think there is anything more I could have done to prepare. I felt that it was a hard test, sometimes it was hard to tell if it was an easier question or more difficult, I knew when it said priority, most important, do first that they were the more difficult questions. I also had teaching regarding medications and returning phone calls

GOOD LUCK TO THOSE WHO STILL NEED TO TAKE!!!

Re: 8/1 Nclex

Jein33,

The only book that I used was the Kaplan review book. I read the book and did the test at the end of the book and on the cd. Don't worry, I'm sure whatever reviewing you did will be enough. You will do well.
