75 questions this AM and don't feel good about it....
|
|
Well, I took the NCLEX this morning. the computer shut off after 75 questions and I REALLY do NOT feel good about it. These next 48 hrs are going to be rough. I feel like such an idiot. I have a horrible sick feeling I'll be taking it again in 45 days

This probably won't ease your pain any cause you're in "the zone" where nothing can stoothe your pain post NCLEX. I took the NCLEX-RN last Wednesday and found out I passed Friday.... yippe for me but back to you... I felt just like you, I felt I only got maybe five questions right out of 79 before it stopped... I think and this is my opinion...... that you are an experienced operator, you've put in your time in school and clinical and are deserving of you license... and for this reason, if the questions seemed like they came from Pluto it is because you're smart and the CAT had no choice but to give you harder and harder question because you are a critical thinker and you kicked it's butt.... you pounded it so hard the questions were all dizzy from such a beating... Yes this will be the worst 48 hours of your life... I had to go through it twice (NCLEX-LPN and NCLEX-RN) and it still sucked... I was irritable, praying to God, thinking of looking for jobs in nursing homes (where I worked as an LPN) because I thought I didn't make it. My hope is that this post distracted you for at least a few minutes from the obsessive thoughts...... Good Luck (not that you need it)

I took my test this morning as well. My computer shut off at 75 questions. My heard dropped. I feel somewhere in the middle. I dont feel that I did that horrible, but that I did ok. I'm reading all of the posts on here and the general concesus seems to be that people feel like they failed and didnt even get one question right.
Now Im worried that I failed because I dont have this horrible feeling about the test. I'm also thinking maybe the reason that I feel this way is because my questions were so easy and I never got any right, so they never got any harder. I'm freaking out now...help!

I could've written this SAME message, except I didn't become an LPN before RN, and my NAME is different, LOL!

Happy Thoughts. I felt that way too. I was very fortunate to have great classmates that took the NCLEX test w/me afterward we all went out to lunch and laughed and laughed about the good ol' times during school which really helped us to decompressed. It really helped me to stay distracted with my friends and family.

most likely you passed if you felt you did a good job studying. If you failed at 75 questions that means you had to have gotten allot wrong... if you were doing "eh" then it would have kept going to see if you'd do any better before deciding. I'm sure you passed! don't fret.
