I wasn't thrilled w/ my live Kaplan review b/c I was in PTSD and uable to focus. I had just been attacked in my home. So I was feeling rather unconfident and vulnerable. I moved that week and threw myself into review online, CD's, and refused to set my NCLEX date. A week and a half after receiving my ATT I did, but scheduled it for 5 weeks later. I felt that i had to start at the beginning to retrain myself and I didn't pre-study like I should have before each Kaplan class.
If I didn't have that tragedy, I would have been much more disciplined. When I had further self-doubt I also bought a 3 week review on NCSBN site. Very informative! Plus I was still utilizing Lipincott's NCLEX 3500 review adn my former R&R NCLEX tests.
I fell off the earth. No one believed me when I said all I did was study 16 hour days. I was a wreck. From what I've read of Suzanne's plan, it's all about following a process of review before testing before advancing to the next part. I wish I'd known about Suzanne's plan.
I also think Kaplan prepares you for the style of questions, but not the content. Best to get a sampling of different types of questions (Lipincott, Mosby, Saunders, ...)
Sorry i went a little long here. Still stunned that I passed. I know all too well what you are feeling regardless of my own status.
