I was @ VMMC recently - I got a free flu shot - I guess it might bother me that you might get forced to get the shot......

I normally get the shot but I don't like being told I have to get the shot. It may sound like a small thing and really it is but it is only one of the small things in a long list that is wrong with that place.

As far as nuring shortage, I was there as a traveler and there may not be a shortage but the VM is full of travelers so that shows me there are atleast more openings than nurses willing to work their

The hospital wants to take it to the ninth circuit? Ha, they will certainly lose there. Good for the nurses!

I agree. I get a flu shot, but I don't like the idea of being mandated to get one, OR as at our place, also in the Puget Sound area, having to tell them WHY we don't want to get one. I don't think it's any of their business, why I do want one, or why I don't. I sometimes get one somewhere else, pay for it, and then refuse to tell them if or not, why or why not. They are on a need to know basis, and IMHO, they don't need to know.

I too have mixed feelings about a parent not vaccinating their child unless it is for religious reasons. The reason we DON'T see these diseases in the US is because we have all been vaccinated as children. I'm afraid that if the trend increases, we will start to see these things again.
