Oh my gosh! Worry much? We spend a few hours a week at the gym with people who sweat, but we spend 36+ hours at work with stuff that's three times worse. What you see at the gym is probably tame compared to what's waiting for you when you clock in...

Goes contrary to common sense but apparently the community acquired variety can be WAY more virulent.

Re: The ugly truth about life with MRSA

Well folks, let me share my expereince: Last summer I was diagnosed with cellulituse in my lower right leg. Being a prenursing student I had no idea what the heck was going on, I only knew that my leg itched like hell. Anyway, was admitted given vicomiosin, everything's cool now, total recovery. So anyway, I go back to gym (I won't name the Philadelphia Gym where I worked out), and I noticed how many people didn't spray eguipment with steralizer when they were done. Come to find out the there have been many cases of celulitous at this gym. I quickly left. I will never work out at a public gym again in my life. I take a run in the park instead. I know what your thinking , but I'd rather be safe than sorry. Be on your P's & Q's folks...............
