I am considering going into School Health Nursing in Maryland. I have an interview coming up for a FT position. I have already went to one interview and it was for PT. The pay for that was lower than the pay I got when I was a new grad. I could not believe it. I have been an RN for four years now,working in ICU and O.R. I have an Associates Degree in Nursing and one Biological Sciences and a Bachelors Degree in Nursing. I am currently working on a Master's Degree.

Could you tell me what it is like? Do you prefer elementary, middle, or high school, and why? What is your day like? Do you enjoy your job? What is they pay like? I know it is going to be significantly less than hospital nursing, but I don't want it to be less than what I got as a New Grad with an Associates Degree and now that I have my BSN and working on my Master's it should not be that low. What should I expect to be an average pay? What are the pros and cons of school nursing? Anything you can tell me about it, I would greatly appreciate it. I am excited about the upcoming interview and hope that I get it. I really think I will enjoy it.
