RWJF Seeks Proposals to Address the Nursing Shortage
09/25/06

To alleviate the challenges contributing to the nation’s nursing shortage, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) and Northwest Health Foundation have announced a new round of funding opportunities through the "Partners Investing in Nursing’s Future" initiative.

Through this program, local and regional foundations will receive funding to support collaborations among nurses, workforce investment boards and community organizations on a variety of projects, including initiatives that bolster diversity, long term care, public health, educational infrastructure/faculty shortage and mid-level management.

The program will award 10 two-year grants of up to $250,000 each. The application deadline is November 9, 2006. See www.rwjf.org/applications/solicited/cfp.jsp?ID=19709 and www.rwjf.org/newsroom/newsreleasesdetail.jsp?id=10432.
