Degrading? I think it's called assault and battery. Why isn't the Prosecuting Attorney all over him? I wonder who he's married to, sleeping with, in bed with, pals with. Follow the sex, follow the money. Stinking officials are more criminal than he is for their inaction and leniency - and he's horrible. :ang ryfire:ang ryfire

When I saw the headliner in the forum I thought it was a joke. Holy crap!! First of all I would love to have my CRNA and would not do anything to jeopardize all that hard work it took to get it.

Are they that short of CRNA's that they hired and cetified such a bunghole. I think some of the rpevious posts were right that if he was an Rn it might have been more severe because there are more of us.

I know there are some patient's and families that drive us nuts sometimes but you just deal with them and accept them the way they are. I was just wondering if it was like when the ****** off chef spits in the patient's food?

A suspension? this is a definite gire providing the evidence and case against him is strong.

what a disgrace to the profession. Most of us try to fight to improve the image of our profession and these idiots bring us back to square one. arrrgh!

Gman i would sue if i was the patient

Re: RN suspended for giving outdated meds, drawing on pt's face and reused syringes

I can't begin to explain or understand what led this man to behave as he did. I feel sorry for the patients that were impacted by his lack of professionalism and their families. I am not surprised by the legal ramifications of his behavior. This happens everyday in other industries. People abuse their position and commit unspeakable acts. Nonetheless, most infractions do not result in imprisonment, dismissal, or financial loss.

The real irony of the situation isn't the fact that he did these things, but the inherent belief of many that he demeans nursing in some regard. He's an individual first and made a decision that speaks of his character, not the people that hired him or industry he works within. While we would hope to attract those to the profession that are committed to servicing their fellow man, the reality of one's reasoning for choosing this path is rarely motivated by this factor.

If this is true I think the whole board needs a mental health assessment. I know there's good and bad in every good nurses, doctors, I usually see the good but this is so unimaginable.

So this is okay because there was no deaths, no infections. Do some CRNA's not know that there are expiry dates on medications and is part of the 5 rights when giving meds to ensure the medication hasn't expired.

remind me to not be hospitalized for surgery in Maine.

WOW

is this guy still getting paid for being suspended?

Re: RN suspended for giving outdated meds, drawing on pt's face and reused syringes

I have knowingly dispensed outdated meds a few times because it was all we had in stock and the patient NEEDED it, NOW, but it was a month or two, not years like this implied.

What possesses people to do some of these things?

Sad to say that this person is in our profession. What was he thinking? Scares me to think that this could have been someone who might have been taking care of a family member of mine.
