Patient's sexual assault gets prison term

West Bend - A Port Washington nurse was sentenced to eight years in prison today for sexually assaulting a woman in June at a Town of Polk hospital while she was drugged and waiting to be treated for injuries suffered in a motorcycle crash.

"Nowhere in the world is it considered acceptable for a registered nurse to have sex with a patient in an emergency room," Washington County Circuit Judge Patrick J. Faragher told John E. Weyker, 44, before sentencing him.

Shame! Shame on him! This behavior sets back Nursing across the board. It will make my job and the job of every other male health care provider more difficult than it needs to be for years to come. Where did this jerk get his licence - a cracker jack box?
