[quote=flightnurse2b;3200043][quote=GoLytely;3196386]I wish people who don't want children would just use contraception.

i am not even going to address the hoovered comment.

but i will say that my best friend got pregnant TWICE on birth control... 1st child on orthotricyclen and 2nd child while on depo-provera. condoms break. people forget to take bcp's. some people just ovulate anyways. and some people DO want children. unfortunately, the children are concieved under suboptimal condition. sometimes they're raped, sometimes they're on medications that will harm the baby, sometimes they're at risk of dying from pregnancy........ you have no room to judge until you have walked in their shoes.
Thank You.....

The shot is provided to everyone on the entire planet- for free.

Mandating . . . . .too much government control of individual liberty, imo.

Aren't most of the stats regarding why women have abortions is that either they didn't use birth control or birth control failed?

I don't think the % of women who have abortions due to rape is high.

But, I'll have to go research that.

IMO, outlawing abortion would be extreme government control- far too much control over indivual liberties. Far more than mandating a pregnancy prevention vaccination.

Ok, ok, ok...I know contraception doesn't always work. Dumb thing to say.
I should have said, I wish people who have sex would be responsible enough to accept the consequences of failed contraception.

Don't assume I haven't walked in anyone's shoes, either. I know someone who was basically kidnapped and forced to become pregnant. She says she could never hate any of her children and when she became pregnant by this man the thought of killing the baby never crossed her mind.

It's about what's in a person's heart.

I still believe people should have the choice of what they do with their bodies, but not before they get the facts. If it's still in their hearts to go ahead with the termination of a healthy baby it should be their choice.
