Founder of National Honesty Day (April 30) Calls for Nationwide Emphasis on Honesty to Protect Public from Increased Lying and Fraud

Corporate scandals, consumer fraud, identity theft, and Internet scams are "harming society and damaging our nation's quality of life."

Annual Honest Abe Award presented to nursing profession for being ranked as nation's most ethical occupation.

…This year he cited the nursing profession for being ranked by Americans in a nationwide poll as the nation's most ethical occupation for the sixth year in a row….

I just wish the healthcare industry would have an ounce of the nursing profession's honesty, nurses continue to be fired and blackballed for BEING honest in the workplace, I wonder if the people who do this annual honesty study,knows what happens to nurses who report illegal/unethical practices.

Wow, the not so well known Honest Abe Award. I just googled that and come up with nada. Maybe that puts things into perspective.

I googled National Honesty Day and found long article with reference to Honest Abe Award.

As was partially mentioned in the original post, a book author some 6 years ago came up with the day and proposed the Honest Abe Award. As far as I can tell, the award is otherwise obscure.
