Wow what a unpleasant business. Healthcare workers need representation but they don't need this kind of garbage.

Yes, it is.

SEIU is a shady organization. You can look up a million things online-- stationing reps outside of other union members' houses; nursing home "gag orders", taping conversations between employees and other unions; allowing unenforceable staffing ratios . . . overall, they're out of touch with nursing issues.

While I believe in unions (was the child of a pro union family dating back further than I can remember!), I don't believe in SEIU. My grandmother and grandfather would turn over in their graves had they viewed the original message about what SEIU is doing (as grandpa's mother was in a nursing home until she died of blood-stream infections due to bedsores, and my g-pa and g-ma's DAUGHTER (my aunt sits in ltc at the age of 60 with infections in her future due to poor staffing . . .)

This is ridiculous, and if you call yourself a RN, you wouldn't stand for it. *I* don't stand for it.

I think that if you allow for poor care, you should lose your license.
