Oddly enough there is no mention of the attrition rate of nurses within the first five years of graduation.

with all the money that these universities are charging students they could better pay for instructors. When you are paying $15,000-$20,000 for an aasociate degree or even a 2nd degree BSN (13-18 month program) you could pay for instructors.

Well I'm taking the prereqs for the nursing program at Delta College right now and it's pretty cheap. I'm paying $60 per unit. The only other nursing programs in the Central Valley I know of that aren't junior colleges are two California State University campuses. Another part of the problem is probably graduates deciding to commute to the San Francisco Bay Area instead of working here.
