Not sure what state she was from, but a stunning contestant who was a nurse by trade, placed as 3rd runner-up at the Mrs. America Pageant last night! The pageant showcases married ladies across the country who exemplify style, beauty, brains and grace. I was very impressed with her! Thought the nursing community might like to know!

I remember when Lani Rafko (sp?) won either Miss USA, America, or one of those some years ago. There was a commercial featuring her where she talked about her career as an RN. I think I was in nursing school at the time.

Man, I have to compete with Nurse Gorgeous now? LOL....the expectation level of our patients is REALLY gonna go nuts!

How about honoring excellent nurses? I couldn't care less about pageants. Truth be told, that's not exactly something that would help me respect a co-worker.
