New trade organiztion to represent walk-in clinics

From Philadelphia Business Journal:

Convenient Care Association to represent walk-in clinics
November 3, 2006
by John George
Staff Writer

The proliferation of walk-in health clinics in retail outlets across the country has spawned a new Philadelphia-based national trade group: the Convenient Care Association.

The association will represent the health centers being established in "high-traffic" places such as pharmacies, grocery stores and discount retailers. The clinics, staffed primarily by nurse practitioners and physician assistants, are designed to provide routine, non-emergency health services to patients without appointments.
