According to the paper, she wasn't kept from it but she and her husband exercised poor judgement AGAIN, and must share the burden of killing this baby. Choosing a home delivery with a non-nurse midwife after three 3 c-sections defines being too dumb to live. I'm having a hard time believing that this kind of midwife is allowed to practice at all. Its hard to know how much freedom to give the public in choosing alternative methods of health care. For sure though, there are plenty of people who need to be protected from themselves.

THANK YOU- MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY. While it truly is a sad situation, the parents need to be held at least half responsible for what happened here. Poor baby.

Well therein lies the HUGE problem. People are aware of their RIGHTS but not so keen on responsibility. If the law is gonna come down hard on health care providers for negligent death (as well it should), what about negligent PARENTS who should KNOW BETTER???!
