New Jersey hospital suing union, alleging interference
Bergen Regional Medical Center in Paramus, N.J., has sued its nurses union to end what it calls years of criticism and interference in managing the hospital. The five-count suit names the Health Professionals and Allied Employees and its president. Bergen Regional contends that the union has tried to break the hospital's contract with the county by making "unsubstantiated allegations" to state and federal regulators about patient safety.
