I think it's only fair. It's government requirements that force hospitals to treat people regardless of insurance status, so why should the hospital have to eat the loss? I think this is also true for the MILLIONS of uninsured Americans btw.

If there's a foreign aid package for Mexico (and other countries), the money ought to be deducted from each country's aid. JMO.

Yep, I agree...

As a nurse working in a border state I agree. So many people here in Texas can't afford medical insurance. Many of them children in need of coverage. If a US citizen goes to seek medical treatment and can't pay the bill we get damaged credit and harrassing calls from creditors. But an "undocumented immigrant" can go in and get free medical care and leave. I have seen some instances where you go to the room to check on the patient and they have abandoned the room. But yet we are forced to treat. Leaveing you and I to foot the bill.
