Gie a tiny glimpse at what nurses do -- am not sure what they cover -- probably not anything real indepth in a week -- but it's a start
The idea of the camp is a great idea. I'm concerned that the kids are getting a "sugar coated" version of what Nursing is like. It's fun to see newborn babies and observe surgeries, but when you are actually in the "trenches' performing these jobs, it's a whole different experience.
In High School, I was involved with a Boy Scout Explorer program that emphasized Law Enforcement. It was one the most eye opening experiences that I had-we were allowed to see the good, the bad, and the ugly side of a career in Law Enforcement. Nothing was hidden from us,and it gave us a very realistic expectation of what a career in Law Enforcement was like. I went into that career with "eyes wide open" , and knew exactly what to expect.
