My friend had both feet done, one at a time of course. A lot of nurses get bunions. My friend says, "Ya really got to be ready to be off your foot and on crutches for close to 2 months, it is a lot harder than you think". The docs are not kidding when they say "No weight bearing". My friend and a couple of others told me that was the most difficult thing to deal with. Everyone that had it done was able to continue working at the bedside after recovering from the surgery

. Everyone of them thought their days as a bedside nurse were over. Like you say, lot of pain.
