Re: 30,000 Wake During Surgery Each Year

I have had 12 surgeries and 1 procedure that needed sedation. I have never woken during surgery (thankfully). I woke for about 30 seconds during the procedure, and then was out again.

Re: 30,000 Wake During Surgery Each Year

During a bladder operation , mid procedure I remember hearing the staff around me , seeing the operating lights, and someone putting the mask back over my face. But luckily no pain.
Recovering I could hear for quite a while before I " woke up" . I heard a nurse say " she looks very peaceful sleeping" and I was thinking haha
I can Hear you.

Re: 30,000 Wake During Surgery Each Year

I had ORIF surgery on my left arm. In recovery Doc was asking some questions about how I felt and a few other things and he told me I woke up during the procedure. Don't remember it and glad I don't...
