is it true that if the computer shuts -off at 85 and you got the last question right, you passed the test?

Sometimes. Mine shut off at 80 and I nearly had a coronary, but I passed!

Just took mine last week, shut off at 81 and I passed.... BUt I am almost positive that I got the last question wrong, so I was a bundle of nerves to say the least.

Are you talking about the NCLEX-PN? The minimum number of questions for that exam is 85. So getting the last question correct doesn't mean you passed or failed.

For the NCLEX RN, same thing, but the minimum is 75. Again getting the last question right is no indication of passing or failing.

Maddening isn't it?

Good luck.
