Talking RN student new to community!

Hello everyone! I am new to this community and thought I would post on here to hopefully meet others that are in the field I am looking into! I think it would be great to have some support from other nurses and students as I go through this new experience!
I am a single mother of a 16 month old little boy named Devin. I work part time at a daycare where he will be going while I am in school, so it is a great convience! I am starting school at IUSB in South Bend Indiana on January 9th. Just found out my schedule for my pre-req's! I am hoping to go into the NICU or Labor/Delivery when I graduate, so if there is anyone out there who is nursing in those fields, PLEASE contact me and let me know!!!
Well I guess that's about it! Hope to hear from you all soon!!!
-Jessica

Here's a suggestion. Visit SallieMae.com to see if they'll issue you an additional student loan and/or a loan to cover personal expenses. Also, Citibank has been known to be 'student-friendly' with issuing loans to cover the extras. Good luck to you!

Re: RN student new to community!

Hello!
I am a graduate of Bethel College in Mishawaka. I work at a local ER, and I'ma relatively new RN.

I graduated with someone who worked, and loved, Memorial's NICU.

I also did clinicals in Elkhart with many IUSB nursing students...

Good luck to you, and if you have any questions or I can help you at all, send me a message!
