hi everyone, i am very interested in becoming a nurse anesthesiologist. right now is a bad time for me to go to rn schooling though. i was wondering if there was anyway that i can take online courses to become a nurse? then i want to start working in the hospital after that and start taking my other courses. one more question . is rn schooling the same as like BSN ? because there is bsn training. thanks for the help
You can get your RN online, however I beleive you need to already have a degree under your belt in a healthcare field. Nursing school is VERY intense so if it is a bad time for you to go to school I would hold off as it is time consuming no matter which way you take it. There are two options for RN you can get your associates degree first over a period of 2 years (providing you have almost all of the gen ed classes done) or you can go for your BSN which is a 4 year degree in nursing. You will need a BSN to become a CRNA, I am hoping to do the same, but I am doing my associates first and will then work on my BSN. Well I hope this helps.
Online schools are few and far between because the clinical portion requires that you have a responsible RN instructor. Good luck in whatever you do. Perhaps you can take some of the co-req courses or theory online.
