Anybody else from Houston? I have decided to switch my education/career goal from Radiology Tech to Nursing and coincidentally I recently found this forum! My decision was based on the fact that I volunteered at MD Anderson for a couple months in the Nuclear Medicine department. Unlike Rad Tech, I found nursing to be a career that is challenging, rewarding and exciting. I enjoy helping people directly but not hidden behind a machine. I want to give back to the community and have the advantage to help when it is needed, especially during an emergency.

Thanks for reading my first post and hopefully I receive a warm welcome as well as profound insight about nursing in this community.

P.S. I am a male who is proud to be a Pre-Nursing student!

Welcome to Allnurses.

I'm too dog tired to be profound. I wish you luck in all that you do. Check out the student nurses forums here and various other forums. Perhaps you'll find some profound insight there.
