Smile New Nursing Student

Hi everyone,

I'm new here as well as in the Nursing Program. I'm two weeks into Nursing School and I'm soooooo overwhelmed with the amount of work that I have to do!
I had to quit my job to be able to attend to my family (I'm married w/ a daughter) and school full time.

I read on one of the post here someone saying they are scared of the unknown.... I can definately relate! Even though Nursing School is lots of work it's also fun!

I have my first clinical in a few days and I have o perform my first full assessment on a real patient not just classmates and I'm a nervous wreck! How do you get over all these feelings of nervousness and overwheliming? Any body has any advise?

Re: New Nursing Student

Congrats on your new adventure!! I too, have a family and 2 little ones while i went to school. I had a blast though, going to school was one of the best experiences of my life!! Enjoy it, even though it is hard work, it makes it a lot easier if you are having a good time too!!
