Question New nurse needs some advice about applying for a new job.

Hi, I really need some help with a situation. I am a new PN graduate and I am in the processes of applying for jobs. My problem is I just got fired from my CNA postion for deviation of the patients care plan. I was working for a company that owns several nursing homes and I would be assigned to a different one at times so I was unfamiliar with the residents and there routines. On my current applications I wrote was let got, but I am wondering what to tell them if I get an interview. I don't want them to think that what what happened at my last job is going to make me look incompatent. Do I have to tell them at all what happened since my last employer doesn't have too? My supervisor said it will make me a better nurse now. Please help!! By the way I'm new to the site. Hello.

I am asking this question because it was a saftey issue with a personal alarm. I don't want the employer to think I am unsafe. This was a 1st time thing.

To tell the truth or not

What do you want to do?

What would you learn from telling?

What would you learn from not telling?

What is in your best interest?

What is in the best interest of all?

Can you live with not telling? Do you want to live with not telling?

just a couple of question to think about!

The question is, What do you want to do?
You have to live with you!

If you admitted on the application that you were fired, I'm sure you will be asked why. If you are asked - you must be honest. Deviation from a patient's care plan really doesn't sound like a big deal... but I'm not sure what that is!!
