Hi everyone. I just found this site today. I have been a nurse for almost 19 years (will be next month). I'm so tired of it, I could scream. I feel like I'm to old to start over, but I also don't feel like I have any interest in nursing any more. Anyone else feel this way? By the way I'm from Tennessee.

Hello. I am new to this site as well. I was reading your post and I want to give you credit for hanging in there for as long as you have. I am only a nursing student(RN) but the instructors have told us how most nurses burn out in 10 years b/c the job is so demanding. Do you like Law. The reason Iask is b/c nurses working as a medical legal aid has become more popular lately. i don't know exactly what it is called but you would use your nursing education and experiance to help judges in malpractice suits and so forth. Just an idea.
Sincerely,
Jennifer

Welcome. I don't feel that way all the time, but sometimes I do. Best wishes.
