Red face Moving to Cincy soon need info on wages there.

Hi,
Med-surg/Tele nurse since grad. in 2001. Started this career following a printing and office career. I work weekends in one of several local hospitals in Ft. Wayne, IN and just this year also began working in a large cardiologist office as a phone nurse. I chose weekends due to weekend "premium" pay. Around here for weekends the hospitals pay $10.00 hourly over your base wage (or $8.00 hourly if you choose to take insuranc). I need the insurance so combined I make over $27.00 an hour. We are required to work two 12 hour shifts each weekend and get one weekend off each quarter.

The reason I'm writing all this is I need any info I can get from Cincy nurses and what to expect with salary and any other info you can give me. I am currently looking at University Hospital and we are looking at homes in N. KY. Sorry this is lengthy. Please help as I hope to move late summer and as do most of us prefer my ducks in a row. Thanks

Welcome to allnurses.com. Nice to have you with us.

I would suggest looking through the Ohio State Forum at: http://allnurses.com/forums/f167/ for any ball park information.
