My NICU received an email memo this week informing us that as long as our census is below 4 patients, we will work with 1 RN and 1 resp. therapist. When we need a break the NNP, management or a nurse from another unit will relieve us. I found a position statement on minimum staffing in NICU from NANN. Do any of you know of any other sites where I can find a position statement? I couldn't find one on the AWHONN site.
