My name is Angela and I am an RN in an ICU at a large hospital here in town. I work wekend nights, Fri and Sun so I can be home with kids all week. Am actively looking to transfer to surgery so I can work during the day!

I just came across this board and looked interesting.

ah-ha memphis rn. you seem just the person i need to talk to. i work in north central ms about 2hrs away. sort of been wanting to do the weekend thing or travel alittle in memphis. i'm sort of leaning toward the med. had a contract rn come through here a few days ago that had worked the med a while back but by the time i found this out she had already left before i could pick her brain, but she did tell me you can learn awsome things and the work is plentyful. i think i'd like to give a real dedicated truama icu a try and see if i can cut the musterd..any advice or words of wisdom? good luck on going to surgery.
