Re: Med surge

Have your professors recommended any books? We use Medical-Surgical Nursing by Lewis, Heitkemper, and Dirksen (published by Mosby). It is about 3 inches thick and full of information. It offers some care plans as well. To supplement this, buy an NCLEX study book and review the questions related to each topic as you go through them in your med-surg classes. I'm not sure if you have written a lot of care plans yet, but you will also want a book to hel pyou with that. I have Nursing Diagnosis Handbook (A guide to Planning Care) by Ackley and Ladwig also published by Mosby. Hope that helps!

Re: Med surge

Welcome. I would think your textbooks would suffice. You'll probably be too busy to do much more.

Check out our student forums here: http://allnurses.com/forums/f196/ Good luck. Welcome to Allnurses!
