Lpn?

Hello All,

I am going to school this fall to become an LPn and from what i have read on the forums about the whole LPN-RN-BSN issues. I am starting to have regrets about the LPN decision. From waht i have ready it seems as though LPN's are not being recongnized in the nursing field. What exactly is the job description of an LPN isn't it similar to what an RN does and also why does it matter if your an LPN or RN? They obviously needed LPN if they hired them right?

Maybe you should do a search on allnurses to find out more information. I remember seeing a thread about this same subject. I'm starting a RN program in the Fall so I can't be of much help to you. However, since you've already gotten in it can't hurt to go through the program and bridge over if you decide. That way you could work as a LPN and complete the RN program at the same time!!!
