Way to go, Robyn! I am so happy that you have chosen nursing. It is a wonderful and exciting career.
I went back to school as an adult too- got my associates degree in May 2004 and am working on my RN,BSN to be completed in May as well. Just like you I am also excited and a bit scared of my new role.
(My daughter just moved from OK to Winchester, Virginia. Do you know where that is? Is it a good place to live?)
 Good luck to you!

Hello Robyn,
Congrats to you!! I too have to make a decision by 1/6/05 to accept my 5th seat in the RN Program. I have turned down seats for the last 5yrs due to not ready to give up my Corporate job ( Good Salary) although, I depise my Job. I am 44yrs old and my boys are grown and out of the house due to having both of them by 16yrs old. I have been at my job for 10yrs now 8-5 desk job on the computer & phone all day long with Customers...not for me!!
I am so glad to hear people like you just took the plunge and did it, I'm so scared that maybe I'm not smart enough or will not pass classes...I know my job now and the change just terrifies me, even though I need to make a change in my life. I forgot to mention I lost my Mom last Oct/04 and she was part of the reason I held off on Nursing to take care of her now something tells me to just do it!!!..Thanks for sharing

I hope you take the plunge and go to nursing school!!! I was also scared and I really believed that I wasn't smart enough and that I wouldn't make it but I did it and I have done great, I even made the Deans List this past semester It takes ALOT of hard work and pure dedication but if you mant to be a nurse YOU can do it!!! I am still scared! I have one semester left and now I am really stressing the NCLEX, but I know I can make it. You will be able to make it also!! Just think... before you started the job you have now... did you know how and what to do automatically? You will learn. Good Luck!! Please take that seat :hatparty:
