Just want to introduce myself....HI

Hi Everyone
I have made a couple of posts but haven't formally introduced myself. I am from NY...tiny town... and am currently a medical secretary and thinking strongly about going into nursing. I would be starting out at almost 40 and that scares me. I have an associates in Science and IPS in med sec./processing. I have been a med. secretary for 5 years and feel that I would make an excellent nurse. Of course there is the fear of going through all the schooling and not being able to find a job that would work for me. I have so many questions and am looking forward to getting to know everyone and hopefully finding some answers.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome. From all the posts I have read everyone is so friendly and helpful here. I know I will get some great advice about school, jobs, and everyday nursing. Thanks again.

I am gonna be 44-45 when I finish my degree. Look at it this way....we have to work until we are 62-67 anyways, or longer, why not have 20 good years in something we enjoy doing??
That was my take on it.....I am doing the accelerated Paramedic to RN program.
