Honey,I'm Home

Hello to all. I've been lurking for awhile,you guys are quite a diverse group,quite refreshing. I was wondering if there were any special rules o this forum other than the written and obvious.I have quite a few opinons and I don't want to go to troubled grounds or offend anyone right from the start.I'm an R.N., cardiac is my torture of choice.I live in the coastal area of S.C. and am really looking orward to talking to you all, so....HOWDY YOU GUYS

Welcome to Allnurses.

Just common courtesy and common sense. There are a lot of issues that people feel very strongly about.

First and foremost to understand is that all opinions are valid and we respect each others right to have an opinion. If you disagree with someone, you must talk about the issue and topic and not talk about the person.

For instance: someone says "I think BSN nurses are safer than ADN nurses and BSN should be the minimum standard of education for an RN".

You can say: "I disagree because...........". You many not say "How dare you insult ADN nurses you arrorgant ivory tower nurse.........".

Get it?
