How do I get into nursing?
How can I get my RN when I move every 3 years?
Should I try to get my CNA and move up or just go straight for my RN?
Is there any online classes I can take to help speed up everything I need to do?
I am just starting out. I don't know much but I am trying to learn everything as fast as possible to get started. I don't wanna rush on getting where I wanna be. But I wanna know how long this will take and if it's possible to get what I need done in 3 years. I am going to try to get a job at a nursing home to help me out. I am willing to do whatever it takes to get to the place I need to be. I have 6 more months to get started on everything before my husband returns. Then I have 1 year before we are moving to another duty station, which I will be there for 3 years. I am starting late. But I am doing my best to learn what I need to do. So any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank You
Schatz,
I know you said you're working on getting your GED (contratulations!!) One thing to investigate if you're living on post while your husband is deployed is that there are lots of education programs available to the military & their families. Make sure you check out Family Education Programs in whatever branch you are -- often you can get help with tuition, enrollment procedures, career planning, etc... Maybe this is all stuff you already know... if so, just remember they are a great resource not to be over-looked. And don't worry -- you're NOT late

You're right on time. Take it one step at a time -- get the GED, start some pre-reqs for a BSN or ADN (like basic Bio, Chem, Math) and take a deep breath! You are surely under a LOT of stress with your husband deployed (I know that awful feeling

) so try to take some YOU time in the midst of it all. Best of luck!!
