Hey everyone!

Hi everybody! I'm new to this site and thought that it would be a good idea to sign up to get some info from fellow nursing students and experienced nurses. I'm really interested in Peds Nursing but I just don't know where to begin. Where should I go after I get my LPN? Do I work and the get experience in a peds unit or do I continue my education? Are there online programs for that? I'm a new nursing student, so there are A BUNCH of things that I don't know when it comes to the path my of education. If there is anyone that could give me some guidance, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks a bunch

There are some programs are designated for the LPN's who want to become RN's. There are a few web sites you can find from Allnurses....just look around....The College Network is one of those....but if I were you, I will try to get into one of those community colleges....It is my advice...and you do not have to follow it...but I was a LPN before becoming a RN...and I went to a community college....and it was great!! Good Luck!

Re: Hey everyone!

Thanks for stopping by the Introductions Forum. Welcome to Allnurses!

Good luck to you. I hope the various forums will help. This is primarily "Introductions" and I would ask questions perhaps on the LPN forum, the LPN to RN forum, or the general forum, just in case you don't get a lot of responses here.

There are many paths to takein nursing and it can be confusing. I hope you find the site helpful. Good luck!
