I agree w/ Tweety; most schools want proof of CPR before you get in. Plus, one never knows when that training will be of use...and school will be hectic.
Howdy and welcome, I agree with the above that most schools require you to have CPR certification before you start, just remember you need to take the healthcare provider course. I didn't realize that there were 2 different courses, one that is for healthcare providers and then one that is for the regular population that wants to learn CPR.
Glad to have you. I might add that most programs desire the American Heart Association BLS (CPR) course. And, yes, the Healthcare provider level as luvmy2angels pointed out.
