Smile Hello from Sweden!

Hi everyone,

seems like I had to go west in order to find not only a decent, but what it appears to me a great forum for nurses!

I'm a nursing student, 30 y/o male from Sweden currently on my fifth term (RN here is 3 years/6 terms) so around xmas this year, I've been told, I'm supposed to be one of those thorough, know-it-all, got-everything-under-control nurses myself! A thought that is both a little scary but also very appealing, to finally get out there for myself!

From checking out a bunch of threads on this board I understand that there are some differences working as a RN in Sweden compared to the US.
I've already gotten a letter from a recruiter asking if I want to work in the US and that is something I'd love to do sometime. LPN, CNA, RN, CRNA, you guys have so many acronyms! =) I do plan to become a CRNA in the future.

I hope to use this forum to discuss cultural differences, gender issues, working-in-the-us questions, and nursing topics in general.

Hej så länge!
