Hello everyone

Hi my name is Gaynor and I work on a Care of the Elderly Ward at a Hospital in Yorkshire England. I have returned to nursing after a break to bring up my children. I have found things very different to how they were. Everyone is much more stressed and has alot more responsibility. The moral is very low and noone seems to have a laugh anymore:hatparty: and where have all the larger than life characters gone? I don,t know what its like where you are but at one time nurses where treated with respect nowe you seem to be the enemy.

On a positive note I am enjoying myself and have found the extended role of the nurse very challanging and interesting. I hope to leave careof the elderly and train to be a midwife in the future. Thanks for putting up with my maon.

Hey Gaynor...I am currently refreshing my license after a hiatus to be with my kids as well....I know what you mean about how things have changed. It will be an adjustment that is for sure. Keep your head up though mama! And just think about how much you have learned from raising those babies.

Welcome to the board....Kate
