Hey everyone; I've been lurking around the forums for a while now, but I have just recently decided to register due to the overflow of questions running through my mind.
First of all, my name is Hershel (or Hershey). I'm a 17 year old who dropped out of high school halfway through my junior year. I just couldn't handle the redneck right-wing "teachers" that typically employ the school systems in Mississippi. Anyway, I got a GED, and I took the ACT a couple of weeks ago and received a 29 which paid for my tuition and books for the pre-nursing (BSN) program at my local community college. I ultimately plan to attend CRNA school after I finish my BSN and get the ICU experience needed.
My mom has been a nurse my whole life, and although I have bounced other career ideas around, becoming a CRNA still appeals to me as the only career which would fulfill all of my expectations and utilize many, if not all, of my strengths.
Oh yeah... and I'm a human. I have been playing guitar for 11 years, love to ride/race motocross, and I have 7 children - all of whom pay taxes.
So now you know a little about me, and I'm looking forward to meeting all of you and getting to know the forums more.
