Just thought I'd stop in and say Hello. I had been an LPN for 14 years and decided to go back to school for my RN at the age of 66. This decision was made because it seemed as if I was doing most of the work that an RN would do and getting LPN wages. I'm not sorry that I did. It definitely is more difficult to go back to school when you are older, but you are also more determined to do well. I earned the respect of my peers and my instructors. I graduated in May, took my boards in June, passed and have been working full-time as an RN since. That first paycheck was awesome.
So let me just say, no matter what your age (age is only a number) go back, get your degree, you won't be sorry you did.
