Hello!!!!!

Hello,
My name is Michelle, Live in Queens, NY and I am 38yrs. Just wanted to say hi to everyone.
I was enrolled in nursing program (AAS RN) however, I failed my class and now I am out of the program. Had I pass this class I would have been eligible to take the LPN state boards. Currently I am searching for other schools or distance learning program to continue until I achieve my dream. I would love to hear from anyone. I am not very good at using chat rooms so excuse me. Thanks for welcoming me and for any information that can help me.
Michelle

Welcome to allnurses.com! There is a Distance Learning Forum at: http://allnurses.com/forums/f125/ . Have you also searched for other schools near you?

Re: Hello!

Hi Suebird3,
Thank you for replying to my message. I did visit one school in Nassau, NY but the individual who gave the information could not stop emphasising how competitive their nursing program is and for someone like me who failed a nursing program already probably would not stand a chance of being accepted into their nursing program. It is frustrating because I have checked the forum you mentioned. I would like to know is there any distance learning program for Certified Nursing Assistant to RN or is there any program that would allow me to enroll in their LPN to RN program.

PS Thanks for mentioning the forum where I was able to read about THE COLLEGE NETWORK,Inc. A representative was at my home today to inform me about the opportunity to realise my dream of becoming an RN. However, my husband was very skeptical and when I read the messages on the forum you mentioned I am Thankful I told him I need more time to think about it. There is an individual who work at my job who is already enrolled in their program. I had also called the NY State Board to enquire about the College Network before he came and they told me that The college Network is not accredited in NY. Thanks.
