Greetings

Hi everyone. I am currently a senior in high school graduating soon, and am thinking of becoming a RN and later on getting my masters in nursing and becoming an NP. I'm a male by the way.. Reason I say this is because I know this is a female dominated profession. I want to become a nurse because of the demand there is. I know there are a lot of shortages of nurses, and that there are nurses being imported from the Philippines to fill in positions. I also enjoy helping people and getting satisfaction from that. I also hear the salary is fairly decent for RN's as well. Nice to meet you all

Re: Greetings

Welcome

Don't do nursing just because of the demand, do it because it is something you really want to do. It will have it's moments but with determination I am sure you will get to where you want to be. Nurses come from all over the world not just the Philippines and currently there is a retrogression and nurses are not coming across as quickly
