Hi - I'm Tammy, 43, living in Iowa. I am attending Hawkeye Community College in their ADN program right now. I will be taking my LPN boards on 9/15 and starting at Sartori Hospital the first Monday in Oct. I am a wife of 24 years, a mother of two adults, and grandma of one wonderful little boy.
I have dreamed of being a nurse my entire life and starting the education process at 40, getting my gen ed courses out of the way while waiting to get into the program. Microbiology almost killed me .
I've been an EMT for my local volunteer department of a few years now.
This is a very nice forum to talk to others in the same boat.
