going to be a nurse

Hi Everyone! My name is Shanna, and I am a 16 year old junior in high school. I am not a nurse, yet, but after I graduate high school, I am going to go to college and major in nursing (RN). I am going to get my ASN. I hope you don't mind me being here, even though I'm not a nurse yet. I do know a lot about health isses though, and would like to know more before I actually take my classes in college. At my school, you can't really take any "college" classes till your senior year, but next year I am taking Health fields of study, advanced Biology, Physology, and Sociology. I hope I am welcome here, even though I'm not a nurse yet. Thanks everyone!

Thought I'd bump up your post to the top and say hi at the same time. I'm a little older than you are and I'm going into nursing in Canada. Our schooling system is a little different than yours. I went bak to high school to get my senior exit courses and wow it was tough. Chemistry was the worst! I loved Biology and now i'm taking all the artsy stuff like Can Fam, Law and World issues. Do I have an interest in either? Nope. I can't wait to be accepted somewhere and reach my goal. I was never formally welcomed here but never dissed either ;(for not being a nurse) so I hope that answers your question.
There's actually a bunch of "nurses to be" around here and everyone of the regulars are nice and helpful...even hilarious. Have fun! :hatparty:

Welcome! What year will you graduate high school?

I wish I could go back and have the same kind of enthusiasm and direction as you do at such a young age! That's definately a gift!
