Does anyone know of any good schools in this area? I want to start off with the LPN program so I am able to get out there and make some money and later on go for RN. I am a mother of 2 Son 10 Daughter 3. I know it will be hard but people do it all the time right? If anyone has any tips for a mom of two please let me know I can use all the help I can Get

Hi Jessica,
I'm an LPN and I finished the RN program on Thursday. I take my boards in three weeks. My advice to you, is to think wisely about LPN school. True it is tough but the toughest thing is having a stronge and supportive family to back you. Do you have a husband or family member that will watch your kids, wash clothes, babysit etc...while you are studying? Plus you will not be able to work, at least not fulltime. It would be better if you did not work at all. I was on unemployment and welfare when I went thru and my son was ten. My family helped and he was pretty independent. You will have enormous homework every weekend and holiday that will be due when you come back. Tests every other day. The other option is the RN. You can work more and have more flexibility with your time. The tests are spaced out more. And there are several hospitals that will pay your tuition, books, uniforms ..and guarantee you a job, some with a sign on bonus when you are done.:hatparty: Good Luck.

HI Jessica...you might want to see if there is a New Jersey forum to post your question about schools in. As for me, I start full time in the fall with three little ones and everyone here will tell you that it CAN be done. There are many threads on the subject! Welcome!
